what some call insanity

_ila_ just made my day!



This was inspired first by Number Nine, and then more recently by this little ficlet I wrote for her, ( here. )

I'm going to be so depressed when the actual Number 9 is revealed. This is a fun crackship!

If anyone wants to pass on any further fic ideas, go for it, because I want to write them but can't come up with anything that isn't ridiculously smutty. The 6/9 pairing was SO not intentional but it isn't helping.

Mmm, now I want a Six/Nine icon. (And I CAN'T TYPE NINE. I KEEP TYPING NINA. BOO.)

And while we're talking about Nina - Sarah Clarke is MY hero.

Very very belated birthday fic for _ila_ (and another one coming for im_a_yogi!). I remembered you liked the bit I used as the second section in this piece so I expanded it and gave it a bit more plot. It became kind of a 'what you didn't see' between s2-s3. I hope you enjoy!

Summary: It was during these nights of staring at the blank white wall and counting her breaths that she’d remember.

( The rain trailed down the car windows, and she followed one of the drops with her eyes, watching as it slithered sideways and diagonal, eventually meeting another drop and converging. )


I also have two entries from makelaurahappy! If anyone read the entries, I imagine that one of mine was pretty obvious, hah. Yes, I actually wrote a Laura Roslin/Nina Myers crossover.

This was a fic of many firsts, including my first femslash and my first semi-smut. Probably as far as I'll go for quite awhile, hee.

This one might go on a little further, I have a few more scenes written, but I'm not sure. It's pretty plotless, just an excuse to write Nina/Laura!

Ahh, I wrote Nina!fic. Sorta. I was working on _ila_'s (very belated) bday fic when this idea came to me. It wouldn't have worked as any longer, it's 200 words as it is, but I've never explored the Nina/Kim relationship and this seemed like an interesting way to do it. It also occured to me that I don't think I've ever seen her on trial. It should be noted that even though both my parents are lawyers, I know nothing about law, so grant me a little leeway :P

( There is a trial and she is convicted. The whole thing takes about eight months. )

For the Prove Your Love challenge. Jack/Nina, of course :) A different twist on the Santa Barbara weekend. Also, I realize that this is highly unlikely, because (old) Jack is nothing if not honorable, but still. They needed closure.

( Maybe she could have loved him, but when he told her she just nodded and didn't quite meet his eye. )

Summary: For dolphincheddar, who requested 'House and a pogo stick.' I had a lot of fun with this one! Takes place before season 3, after the Ketamine treatment.

( Cuddy wasn’t sure why she was surprised. )

Pairing: Tony/Nina
Rating: PG-13
Summary: For birdseyeview, who requested pre-s1 Tony/Nina. It's a little fluffy, a little angsty, and hopefully not too OOC.

( On the rare occasions that she spent the night, Tony would spend hours watching her sleep. )

Title: A Venom Like Ambrosia
Pairing: Jack/Karen - not from Will and Grace! LOL.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: For im_a_yogi, who requested 'Karen and Jack angry as hell and yelling at each other!' Probably not for Bill/Karen fans, hah. Pretty angsty. The ending is a bit awkward but hopefully it won't take away.

( Jack Bauer was probably the last person Karen expected to see on her doorstep, but there he was, looking tired and a little sad but with a newfound peace in his eyes. )

Title: Dirty Little Secret
Pairing: Tom/Karen
Rating: PG
Summary: For whenidream, who requested Tom/Karen. TOTAL CRACKFIC. There actually isn't any real shippiness, just friendship and general insanity. Very OOC but hopefully you won't mind too much, lol. And btw, I've never played DDR or really any video game, so I was making this up as I went along.

( Karen was pretty sure that she would die if anyone ever learned of their break time tradition. )

Two fics! First one, 'Guarded', is Tom/Karen (and Bill/Karen) for whenidream - it was supposed to be fluffy but the angst overtook it! Sorry >.< The second one. 'Understanding', is Bill/Karen, with a little Tom/Karen if you squint. It's been sitting half finished for months, so here it is, finally. LOL.

( Karen had just settled herself at the table when the phone rang shrilly from the counter. )

( Bill reached for his wife as she stiffened, taking her hand and putting an arm around her. )

Martha/Aaron fic for the Redemption Challenge at the FLOSS boards. I'm fairly certain that the ending is the cheesiest thing I've ever written, but oh well :P We can use that after day 6.

( Simple )
